Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire and accident, this product must be used in accordance with the following instructions. When using this or other electrical appliance. Always follow these basic safety precautions. This product has been engineered to produce the maximum temperature allowed by industry standards.

  • Wet proof variable heat electric heating pad.
  • For household/personal use only.
  • DANGER – Burns will result from improper use.  Observe these instructions carefully to reduce the possibility of fire, electrical shock or injury.

This heating pad has a polarized plug (one blade is larger than the other) as a safety feature. This plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

  1. Do not use while sleeping.
  2. Before each use, read all instructions. Save these instructions.
  3. Do not use in an oxygen enriched atmosphere.
  4. Do not immerse in water or run under water.
  5. Do not use on areas of insensitive skin.
  6. Treatment time should not exceed 30 minutes.
  7. Do not use on an infant or animal.
  8. Do not put pad into the microwave.
  9. CAUTION – This pad is not to be used on or by an invalid, sleeping or unconscious person, or person with poor blood circulation unless carefully attended.
  10. Never use pad without cover in place.
  11. Check skin under pad frequently. Burns may occur regardless of control setting.
  12. Remove from wall socket by grasping the plug only. Never pull the pad by the supply cord. Do not use the cord as a handle.
  13. Do use pins or other metallic means to fasten this pad in place.
  14. Do not sit on or crush pad. Avoid sharp folds.
  15. Carefully examine inner cover before each use. Discard the pad if it shows any signs of deterioration (such as blistering or cracking).
  16. CAUTION – This pad is not to be used when symptoms of appendicitis are present.
  17. Never use pad in direct contact with skin. Use cloth cover.
  18. Do not allow switch to be exposed to wetting by water or other fluids.
  19. Disconnect when not in use.
  20. This unit should not be used by children without adult supervision.
  21. Never leave the unit unattended – especially when children are present.
  22. Do not use this pad on an electric supply circuit of more than 120 volts AC.
  23. Do not tamper with pad or attempt to repair it. Instead, return it directly to the company.
  24. Store in a cool, dry place.
  25. Do not use your heating pad with liniment, salve or ointment preparations that contain heat-producing ingredients. Skin burns could result.
  26. Loop cord loosely when storing. Tight looping can cause cord damage.
